You’ve decided it’s time for a new master mixing valve. Great choice! But before you can enjoy the benefits of your investment, you need to make sure the installation is done properly. Follow these instructions:Hot Water Recirculation must be continuous.
Hot Water Recirculation must be piped so the recirculation flow can reach the cold connection of the valve as well as the Heat Source.
Hot Water Rises. Therefore, a thermal loop is required in the Cold line at the connection to the heat source.
The recirculation temperature must be lower than the tempering valve set point.
High temperature recirculation, such as from a kitchen or laundry, must not reach the cold connection of a Master Mixing valve with a lower mixed temperature setpoint.
The valve must be installed to allow for access for service.
Perform routine maintenance.
Making sure your master mixing valve is installed properly is essential for ensuring efficient and accurate water temperature. By following the instructions above, you can be confident that your valve is installed correctly.
