ABOUT THE HOLBY TEMPERING VALVE
The Holby Tempering Valve is used primarily as a master mixing valve, and complies with American Society of Sanitary Engineers (ASSE) Standard #1017-2009 (Temperature Actuated Mixing Valves for Hot Water Distribution Systems).
Engineered for long life with ease of maintenance, the valve has only three internal parts to service. Because of its simplicity and durability, the Holby Tempering Valve has been the preferred mixing valve among consulting engineers, owners and plumbers for generations.
Water delivered from hot water generating equipment, including storage tanks, heat exchangers, submerged coils, tankless heaters and other sources, is frequently delivered at scalding temperatures, too hot for direct use. This condition can be corrected with the installation of a Holby Tempering Valve. The valve also regulates temperatures for engines, heating systems, compressors, cooling towers, processing machinery and many other applications.
Holby Tempering Valves are offered in nine sizes, from ½” through 4”. Parts are available individually or as repair kits. All valve sizes and parts are available from stock at our Newark, New Jersey location.
